The design of Cathy & Brian’s rehearsal dinner focused on the blending of their Chinese & American heritage and the theme of “good fortune.” As a nod to the bride’s background a “take-out” box invitation was selected as dinner was hosted at an asian-fusion restaurant. The color palette was designed to incorporate the traditional Chinese color of red, symbolizing happiness, paired with modern color of robin’s egg blue. A custom made fortune cookie place card invited each guest to their seat. For dessert, guests could “pick their fortune” and were treated to two chocolate dipped fortune cookies nestled in individual take-out boxes. Each fortune cookie had a greeting inside scripted by the bride and groom. To display and remember their favorite fortune guests selected a one-of-a-kind magnetic fortune holder.
